29.11.2018 — Elite Report Award 2019: Berenberg again “Best Asset Manager”
Hamburg/Munich. For the tenth time in a row, the Berenberg private bank has been named “Best Asset Manager” in the German-speaking countries in the Handelsblatt Elite Report.
Yesterday evening Germany’s oldest private bank was once again awarded first place in Munich in the report “The Elite Asset Managers”. This is the tenth time in a row that Berenberg has taken the top slot, and the 15th time it has received the “summa cum laude” appellation. Elite Report Editor-in-Chief Hans-Kaspar von Schönfels noted, “the bank has proactively invested in the best minds in the industry. This forward-looking strategy puts Berenberg, a private bank with a long history, in a good position for the future. With on-target analyses of the economy at large as well as of individual equities, and professional investment decisions, Berenberg not only preserves wealth overall but creates real added value.”
Hans-Walter Peters, Spokesman of the managing partners of Berenberg, said, “we are very proud to receive this distinction for the tenth time in a row. In a challenging market environment, we have again been able to show that with our distinct client orientation and our wide range of high-quality services, we are on our clients’ side. This outstanding result was made possible only by our very dedicated staff, whom I thank for their efforts and with whom we will continue to expand our offerings in the year ahead.”
The Elite Report examined 354 asset managers throughout the German-speaking countries. It recommended only 46 institutions and again gave Berenberg the top ranking.
